Midland Country Club Swimming Pool and Changing Rooms, Midland, Texas
Connolly Architects replaced an old dark and narrow entrance at the end of the changing rooms with a centrally located dog run by eliminating the exterior walls of an abandoned mechanical room. Corroded pipe columns and spawled concrete block wall caps were replaced with local limestone. A sloping roof was added to match the rest of the club facilities. New skylights allow bathers to change without needing electrical lighting during the day.
