Fire Station No. 2, Midland, Texas
Connolly Architects designed this municipal fire station for a mixed-gender company of firefighters in Midland. The simple rectangular building features a long shallow-pitched roof with its single ridge and light monitor centered on the middle engine bay. The aluminum doors, windows, metal roof and integrally colored concrete block require no painting an create a durable, low maintenance, yet friendly facility.
